More about Fat Man

Phaseolus vulgaris

Fat Man is a pole-type or cornfield bean that is popular throughout Appalachia and particularly in West Virginia. In one trial conducted by West Virginia University, Fat Man was among the favorites for flavor and tenderness. We'd have to agree. It performed well in our Midwest climate and the beans were just delicious! Fat Man is a string-type bean that must be de-strung prior to cooking.  Harvests begin approximately 75 days after sowing. Each packet contains a minimum of 25 seeds.
