Pronounced kee-OH-ja.  Chioggia is an Italian heirloom beet dating back to at least 1840 that produces uniquely colored roots with alternating red and white concentric circles.  This pattern is retained when roots are roasted.  Roots have a delicious, sweet flavor and vibrant green tops are mild, making them an excellent choice for cooking.  Matures approximately 55-65 days from planting.  Each packet contains a minimum of 100 seeds.
