More about Feher Ozon Paprika

Capsicum annuum

Feher Ozon Paprika Pepper is an heirloom variety of sweet pepper originating from Hungary. Compact plants are loaded with 5 to 6-inch-long, tapered sweet peppers, held closely to the stem so that the plants stay upright. Peppers are initially light yellow but mature to orange and finally red when fully ripe. Thick walls make them perfect for drying and grinding into your own flavorful paprika that is far superior to anything you can find at the store. Tip: store dried peppers in a sealed glass jar until ready to grind. When needed, peppers can easily be ground using a coffee grinder. Sweet. Harvests begin approximately 80 to 90 days after transplanting. Each packet contains a minimum of 25 seeds.

Germination rate excellent!

Germinated 85%, nice healthy seedlings. My Dad, who was from Hungary, grew these in his garden, when I was a kid. He raised his own seed, and he used to plant double seed to a hole, to make sure he got at least one good plant. So these germinated better than his. Looking forward to trying the taste of my childhood, late this summer! (Feher Ozon Paprika Pepper)
