More about Powerhouse Mix

We all know that the mere act of gardening has positive effects on our health, but why not multiply those benefits by growing the healthiest food possible?  That is exactly what we sought to do when formulating our new Powerhouse Mix.  From fiber-rich spinach to vitamin-loaded kale and mustard, all the way down to the polyphenol-packed salad burnet, we aimed to check every box possible when it comes to the nutritional content of this spring mix.  A few of those benefits include:

  • Leaf Lettuce: High in antioxidants, folate, and iron
  • Spinach: An excellent source of fiber, vitamins, and minerals

  • Leaf Lettuce: High in antioxidants, folate, and iron
  • Spinach: An excellent source of fiber, vitamins, and minerals
  • Kale: A superfood rich in folate and vitamin C
  • Red Mizuna: Packs twice the daily value of vitamins A & K
  • Tatsoi: Contains fiber and sulforaphane, which may reduce diabetes risks
  • Garden Cress: Excellent source of potassium and vitamin C
  • Salad Burnet: Contains quercetin and heart-healthy polyphenols

Hey, just because it's good for you doesn't mean it has to taste like it is.  We were careful to avoid more polarizing greens, like arugula, and to balance savory greens like mizuna, with sweeter greens like tatsoi.  Add just a small amount of garden cress for some punch and we think we've got a salad mix that will have your dinner guests asking, "What's in here?" (In a good way, of course).  And in terms of growing, this mix couldn't be easier.  Just make your row and sow.  You'll be harvesting nutrient-dense salad greens for weeks to come!  500 seeds per packet (30-50 days to harvest)

      Nice mix

This is a great mixture of seeds for salad. I can’t wait until it is large enough to eat! Everything grew quickly.
