More about Kyoto Mizuna

Brassica rapa

Kyoto is an open-pollinated mizuna originating from Japan.  Plants produced large, highly branched rosettes of tender green leaves with deeply cut sawtooth margins.  Leaves have a pleasantly mild, slightly peppery flavor that is excellent in salads, soups, and stir-fries.  Cold tolerant plants are well-suited to spring and fall planting and recover quickly when harvested, making them an excellent option for spring mixes.  Baby greens harvestable 30 days after sowing with full grown rosettes ready in approximately 45 days.  Each packet contains a minimum of 500 seeds.
