summer crookneck

Searched for years looking for the warty, nutty flavored crookneck I remembered. Finally found Thresh seeds and the old fashioned summer squash. We've grown it for the past 2 years. Prolific and delicious.

I am thrilled to find a seed company that knows what an old fashioned yellow crooked neck squash really is. Today's grocery store squash have no taste. We are really looking forward to a harvest. The seed came up in about 10 days and are growing nicely. They are about 5-6 inches tall. Anxiously waiting for the harvest.

The seeds are doing as expected. It took them about two weeks to start pushing up. I am satisfied thus far with their performance. Will try to get you pictures to back up their performance over the next several weeks.
