More about Dolmalik Biber

Capsicum annuum

While we often hear from gardeners who are excited to find a particular heirloom of their past, we've never had anyone literally scream with joy—which is exactly what happened when we told one customer that we would be introducing the famous Turkish heirloom, Dolmalik.  After trying it ourselves, we can see what all the excitement was about.  Plants produce huge yields of 2" wide by 4" long, lobed peppers that ripen from green to red as they mature.  Delicious peppers have a unique sweet flavor with a bit of spiciness.  We're told that Dolmalik peppers are traditionally stuffed, but they may also be dried and ground into powder for seasoning meat.  Roasting them is reported t... Dolmalik

Dolma is a dish made with stuffed peppers. Bell peppers sold at stores are very meaty not suitable for dolma shell. Pepper should have thin meat so that stuffing can cook evenly. Here is the picture of the dish. I will order these seeds and give it a try. Excited.

Turkish peppers

Last year we ordered Yalova peppers and again this year. Germination rate 100%. Highly productive from mid june to mid october. Fast track service once again this year. Customer service top notch. Now, new Turkish peppers on the way.
