More about Grushovka Siberian

Solanum lycopersicum

Grushovka is a Siberian variety collected by Bill McDorman of Seeds Trust shortly before the dissolution of the Soviet Union.  During his trip, McDorman visited some of the summer dachas that dotted the Siberian countryside and discovered a treasure trove of heirlooms being maintained by the residents of these cottage settlements.  Grushovka is one of those varieties.  Compact, 30-inch-tall plants produce nice yields of 3-ounce, pink-skinned plum tomatoes.  Tomatoes are perfectly juicy with a sweet, pleasant flavor that rivals that of many full season varieties.  A great heirloom tomato for growing in containers and especially well-suited for short season and high-altitude gardens.  Determinate.  H... Great early and late tomato

This variety produced some of my earliest and latest tomatoes this year, and is one of my favorite new varieties. The plants were very productive and the fruit have a really nice, balanced flavor, leaning a little sweet. They perform well during cool nights and are very tough little plants. Highly recommended.
