Apricot Lemonade is a stunning variety of cosmos that produces unique dusky pink blooms with hints of yellow and orange. Although this is a beautiful variety—one of our favorites, actually—we think the name leads gardeners to expect that they will be more yellow than they actually are. In our hands, the flowers are predominantly a dusky rose color with hints of apricot near the outside of the blooms. As the flowers mature, the yellow tones fade and they are almost solidly pink. Apricot Lemonade Cosmos make a lovely cut flower, especially when set against contrasting colors like blue or green. It has a vase life of 4 to 6 days. Blooms summer through fall.
