More about White Grano

Allium cepa

White Grano is an heirloom, short-day onion that produces tender white bulbs with a mild flavor and low pungency.  Bred for southern climates, these onions do best when planted south of the 35th parallel.  We grew them here (the 42nd parallel) and while they produced some delicious salad onions reaching up to 2" in diameter, they didn't size up the way our intermediate and long day onions do.  But for those in the South looking for a white onion, this one's for you! Short day. 95-110 days to maturity.  Each packet contains a minimum of 100 seeds.
