Coal Camp is a rare Appalachian pole bean variety that produces heavy harvests of lovely, long green pods that are tender and delicious.  When evaluated by West Virginia University, Coal Camp was the voted the winner for fresh eating quality among all the beans trialed.  Pole-type plants produce cascades of pale purple flowers that give way to green pods with a unique purple cast.  Seeds are initially white, eventually maturing to black.  Harvests begin approximately 70 days after planting.  Each packet contains a minimum of 25 seeds.
