More about Fushimi

Capsicum annuum

The Fushimi pepper is a traditional Japanese sweet pepper used widely in Asian cooking.  Early maturing plants produce huge yields of 6-inch-long, green peppers with a sweet flavor and refreshing crunchy texture.  Fushimi peppers are commonly roasted or "blistered" on a dry skillet or battered and fried to make Fushimi pepper tempura.  Harvests begin approximately 75 days after transplant.  Each packet contains a minimum of 25 seeds.
